> A compact, high speed, whole rack microtube decapper, capable of removing and recapping screwtop caps from a full or partial 96 format tube rack.
> The Xsd-96 decapper eliminates the need to manually remove caps from ScrewCapTM tubes (Matrix Technologies) and CryovialsTM (Nunc), dramatically improving productivity and reducing the risk of cross contamination and repetitive strain injury.
> After decapping this system has the ability to either dispose the caps or recap the same caps onto the same tubes they were removed from. No need to manually recap after the tubes have been sampled.
> When recapping, each cap receives the same torque to provide an optimal seal quality and consistency.
> An orientation sensor ensures the rack is always loaded in the correct orientation to avoid cross-contamination.
> Cycle time is less than 15 seconds.
> Can be used as a stand alone system using the simple to use membrane key pad.
> The Xsd-96 decapper/ recapper needs only a mains power source to operate and easily fits into a Class II or laminar flow cabinet.
