> A compact, high-speed column tube decapper that can automatically remove and recap screw top caps from a column of tubes in a 96 format rack. > The Xsd-8 is able to decap and recap 1 column (8 tubes) automatically. Cycle time is just 15-20 seconds for decapping and recapping. > Decapping only 1 column at one time minimises assay exposure to the atmosphere and reduces the risk of contamination. > When recapping, the Xsd-8 replaces the same screwtop caps to the original tubes. Each cap receives the same torque to ensure optimal and consistent seal quality. > Compatible with most screwtop tubes including those available from FluidX, Matrix TechnologiesTM and Micronic, also Cyrobank vials and Bank ItTM from Nunc. > Can be used as a standalone unit or easily integrated into robotic systems.
