The Xev-96 and Xev-192 have two needle assemblies, each consists of either 96 (Xev-96) or 192 (Xev-192) individual stainless steel needles that evenly distribute heated gas into the microplates from both the top and bottom.
The lower platform can be adjusted to any height from the upper needle assembly. This allows the needles to come in close proximity to the sample, without actually touching. This feature minimises drying time and enables the user to develop methods which use a variety of plate sizes and sample volumes.
