The Xdc-96proS is a compact, automated, single column decapper/recapper suitable for use with a wide selection of 96-format racked microtubes.
The column of tubes for decapping or recapping can be selected by use of a rotary dial, or via RS232 commands.
The Xdc-96proS can used in manual or automated mode. The user can choose to dispose of the caps or automatically recap, allowing the caps to be returned to the same tubes.
The Xdc-96proS is able to decap and recap a mixture of tube types within the same rack.
PURGE MODULE
The purge module enables the decapped tubes to have an inert gas of choice "layered" over the sample immediately after decapping and immediately prior to recapping. This layering technique provides significant protection to sensitive samples from the action of humidity and oxygen while uncapped.
Purging immediately prior to recapping ensures that the sample is stored long term in a dry inert atmosphere and can maximise the benefit of storing compounds in FluidX's StoragePod system.
The purge sequence and duration is set up via simple PC based software and downloaded to the unit's firmware.
An Xdc-96purgeS can be easily upgraded to an Xdc-96purge model for added flexibility.
