A compact, high-speed whole rack tube decapper that can automatically remove, recap, or dispose of caps from a full 96-tube rack in less than 10 seconds for each function.
The Xdc-96pro decapper eliminates the need to manually remove the caps from a wide variety of 0.5ml, 0.75ml and 1.4ml septum sealed tubes. This dramatically improves productivity and increases the choice of liquid handling systems by eliminating the need for septum piercing.
Can be used either manually or in automated mode. The Xdc-96pro will also dispose of the caps or recap the same caps back into the same tubes, eliminating the need to manually re-cap after the tubes have been sampled.
Use as a stand-alone system, with the simple to operate membrane key pad, or integrate into automation systems using the RS232 or Windows driver provided.
PURGE MODULE
The purge module enables the decapped tubes to have an inert gas of choice "layered" over the sample immediately after decapping and immediately prior to recapping. This layering technique provides significant protection to sensitive samples from the action of humidity and oxygen while uncapped.
Purging immediately prior to recapping ensures that the sample is stored long term in a dry inert atmosphere and can maximise the benefit of storing compounds in FluidX's StoragePod system or other store.
The purge sequence and duration is set up via simple PC based software and downloaded to the unit's firmware.
