> Warping, shrinkage and thermal distortion are eliminated by use of a two-component design. Plates remain within SBS footprint both before and after PCR, and can be used reliably with stackers and liquid handling robots.
> Improved seal integrity. The damage that occurs to one-piece polypropylene plates caused by excessive thermal expansion/contraction can result in sample evaporation from the outer wells. However, the thermal stability of FrameStar plates ensure a reliable seal for all wells during PCR and in storage down to -80°C.
> Thin wall design speeds up PCR process. Using novel injection molding technology the wall thickness is reduced without compromising integrity resulting in a superior product for fast PCR and small reaction volumes.
> Optimised thermal stable polymer used which provides efficient heat transfer and an inert surface with low binding capabilities, ideal for nucleic acids and proteins.
> Stringent QC procedures guarantee well integrity and the absence of contaminants. Plates are free of human DNA, RNases and DNases. Clean room produced using only virgin polymers to avoid the presence of impurities.
> FrameStar PCR plates can be efficiently sealed by either adhesive or heat sealing films and foils. The raised rim around each well ensure a perfect bond, as well as reducing the risk of cross contamination. (Note - FluidX also offer a full range of sealing consumables and systems).
> FrameStar PCR plates are available with bar coding. Labels are tested for PCR compatibility and cold storage, and can be applied to an of the sides of the plate skirt.
